La vie est si courte, cher amour

Et je l’annonce avec un tambour.

Que les gens qui jugent nous entendent

On s’occupe de nous, qu’on entende.

Aujourd’hui, nous sommes bien présents

Et ensemble, notre temps grisant

Life is so short, my dear love,

And I proclaim it with a drumbeat.

Let the judgmental hear us:

We’re in this together—let them hear it.

Today, we are very much here,

And together, our exhilarating time

Will never be forgotten in our hearts,

And we look forward to seeing each other.

If tomorrow the future is hidden,

Today, confidences, lying down.

We will help each other every day,
